Every Joe Mama's blend starts with the same short list of ingredients we'd happily use in our own kitchens: pure beeswax, food-grade mineral oil and carnauba wax. That's it. No solvents, no aromatic hydrocarbons, no mystery additives.

1. Honest ingredients

We choose ingredients that are genuinely food-safe and proven on wood. Beeswax seals and protects, food-grade mineral oil rehydrates thirsty timber, and carnauba adds hardness and a soft satin shine where it's needed.

2. Hand-blended in small batches

Each batch is gently warmed and hand-blended in small quantities. Working small keeps every jar consistent and fresh — and means we can pour real care into the texture and finish of each product rather than chasing volume.

3. Made for real use

From a daily-use chopping board to a workshop full of hand tools, our blends are formulated for the job. Food-safe waxes and oils for the kitchen; a harder, tougher wax for tools and cast iron. The right blend, for the right surface.

4. Proudly made in Cape Town

Everything is blended and packed locally in Cape Town, then sent off toour stockist so it can find its way to your kitchen or workshop.
